Ian Palmer has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Jacksonville University and a Juris Doctor from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. Mr. Palmer joined EcoVest Capital, Inc. in March of 2020 as Tax Counsel. Prior to joining EcoVest, Mr. Palmer represented clients nationwide on behalf of an industry-leading research and development consulting firm. During his tenure, he partnered primarily with clients in engineering, precision manufacturing, and agribusiness; specializing in IRC 41, DPAD, 171D, and IC-DISC. From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Palmer provided tax counsel to various corporations and individuals as part of an Atlanta-based boutique tax law firm. Mr. Palmer has extensive experience representing clients in front of both State and Federal taxation agencies, and is a member of the State Bar Associations’ of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.
