Ian Palmer serves as Vice President of Tax for EcoVest Capital, Inc., a role he has held since 2024. He joined EcoVest in 2020 as Tax Counsel. 

Before joining EcoVest, Mr. Palmer represented clients nationwide in tax matters, with a focus on engineering, precision manufacturing, and agribusiness. He has extensive experience in state and federal tax controversy, including audits, administrative appeals, and trial proceedings, as well as estate and business tax planning, tax-exempt organizations, and estate administration and litigation.

From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Palmer practiced with an Atlanta-based law firm, advising corporations and individuals on tax matters. He is a member of the State Bar Associations of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Mr. Palmer received an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Samford University.
