Virginia Brown has a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School where she was elected to Order of the Coif. Ms. Brown joined EcoVest Capital, Inc. in April 2016 as Corporate Counsel. Prior to joining EcoVest, Mrs. Brown served as Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at Deloitte LLP where she represented various Deloitte entities in negotiations for the provision of capital-raising and mergers and acquisitions services and she also advised on FINRA and SEC regulatory matters for Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC, Deloitte’s broker-dealer. From 2011 to 2015, Ms. Brown was an Associate at Alston & Bird LLP in the Financial Services and Products group, specializing in the representation of REITs, BDCs and other alternative investment vehicles, where her practice focused on representing clients in public and private offerings of securities, ongoing securities law compliance, including SEC reporting and disclosure requirements, and corporate governance matters. Ms. Brown is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
